Hello!!
Guess who's back?!
I am so excited to have time to actually sit down and write! I'm sorry for my lack of blogging but school has me bogged down. It's a shame, I know. But come May this girl will be done with school.
maybe.
We are out of Mental Health in school and have moved on to Med Surg. Oh bother.
Actually, Med Surg clinicals have been quite enjoyable. Wait.. Did I just say that?!
Yesterday was my birthday! I have been spoiled since the first of the month and that apparently carried on to today. Let me tell ya, my husband is the best!
Since the first of the month, I have jokingly said to my hubby..."But, it's my birthday month!". Him being his sweet self, sometimes went along with things I suggested. Mainly supper ideas or where to eat if we went out.
He is the best.
Yesterday I came home from clinicals and a beautiful vase of flowers sat on the kitchen table! I called him up and asked him if they were from him. He denied it. I was confused. He really got me thinking that someone brought them into the house and left them there...I didn't realize the dryer was going too at that time. In the end, he got me. He had came home early to run some errands and had slipped them in right before I was done doing my "nursely" duties for the day. Too sweet...But it gets better. A few minutes later he walks in the door...French Silk Pie in hand from none other than The Country Dove (best tea room/lunch place in Elk). He made me feel so special yesterday! Then that little sweetie left my favorite candy on the coffee table... that I almost didn't see until I was leaving the house for school this morning. Man I love him.
T -4 days until our FIRST anniversary! Also that sweet man included 2 red roses in the flowers for us being TOGETHER for 2 years. So thoughtful!
We have had a couple of weddings to attend this month. Some of our friends got married a few weeks ago and then next weekend my cousin gets married at a winery here in Oklahoma. We are excited to be going to the wedding, but also about Turnpike Troubadors being at Wormy Dog that night. Hubs, brother, Lo (brother's girlfriend), and I will be attending both!
The boys/men on both sides of our family have been in the field sowing wheat. Hubby's dad has been sowing nonstop and so have my dad and brother. So he has been running back and forth between the both of them helping wherever needed. This past weekend he plowed a day for his day and one for my dad trying to help both of them get it in before it rains. Mom and I took dinner to the boys Sunday when Hubby was helping dad. I stayed and rode the tractor for a while until my backside when numb.
This week has gone by pretty quick! Fall break is this next week and I have gotten all of my assignments completed so I can enjoy some family and friend time that is long overdue.
